Google Launched The Nexus One SmartPhone – Today, Google announced the
launch of its own SmartPhone, the Nexus One. The phone is manufactured by
HTC for Google. The phone will have a 3.7” AMOLED screen, a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, compass, GPS, accelerometer, light and proximity sensors, and a 5 MP camera with LED flash. The phone runs on the new, Android 2.1 OS, which is faster, offers more panes, and additional functionality. The phone can be bought directly from Google or through one of its carrier partners. The phone is available today on T-Mobile, and will be available on Verizon in the spring and on Vodafone later this year, and will sell for $529 unlocked, or $179 with a 2-year carrier plan.
