Catalysts to Watch 04/21/10

         Senate Agriculture Committee will start at 9:30amET on Wed debating the "The Wall Street Transparency and Accountability Act of 2010"   http://ag.senate.gov/site/calendar.html  

         Greece - a delegation from the IMF, EU, and ECB will visit Athens on Wed to discuss the activation of the rescue package for Greece (the meeting was delayed from Mon due to the Icelandic volcano eruption).  The talks will last at least 10 days. 

         Obama will travel to NYC on Thurs to speak on financial regulatory reform. 

         G20 - Apr 23: Meeting of Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors of the G20 

         IMF - Apr 24-25: IMF '10 Spring Meetings (Greece update; any talk of a global bank levy; new eco growth projections); press reports have indicated that the IMF will unveil its proposal for a global bank levy at this meeting and that it will raise its prior eco growth forecasts.

- Iran to Start 3-Day Military Maneuver in Persian Gulf on Thurs (Bloomberg)

         GS – Blankfein to appear before Congress next week - Blankfein has accepted an invitation to testify Tuesday before the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations (NY Post).
